Where are Heritage carriers made?
All Heritage slings, carriers, loveys, and blankets are made by home sewists in Ontario, Canada.
How do I choose between a ring sling or a wrap carrier?
Both carrier options offer great support!
Stretch wraps are great for newborns, giving you free hands for longer wears in the earliest days.
Ring slings are a wonderful option from birth to toddlerhood - allowing you to wear for longer or shorter wears. Convenient to carry with you in your diaper bag, nurse in, and especially good for wiggly kiddos who want up and down.

What age can I wear baby up to?
Wrap carriers are recommended for babies 8-25 lbs (birth to 12 months).
Ring slings are recommended for babies 8-35 lbs (birth to 2 years+).
Can I wear my toddler while pregnant?
Absolutely! Between a bigger belly, and shifted center of gravity, carrying a toddler in hand while pregnant can be taxing. You can absolutely pop your toddler in a sling on your hip or back, but should stop with any increased discomfort or pain and consult your care provider.
What are good times to babywear my baby?
Anytime, really. You'll know best when your baby needs a cuddle (and so will they). On walks, around a mall, around the house while completing chores or tasks, in group settings where your baby may be nervous, etc.
Do the slings come in different lengths? Are they plus-size friendly?
All HBD carriers are made standard long to accommodate wearers of many sizes. Ring slings are made to 90" from rings to tail. Stretch wraps are 198" from end to end.
What are the rings made of?
All rings are made of aluminum; treated and tested to meet babywearing standards.

Health & Safety Procedures
All products are cut and sewn in a clean and sanitary work environment. All products and orders are prepared by the Heritage Baby Designs team who regularly wash and sanitize their hands and are healthy.
Shipping and Returns
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order for a full refund of product and shipping anytime up until it has dispatched.
Can I return or refund my carrier?
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary depending on destination and service selected. Costs within Canada range between $10 and $20 CAD. Costs to the US range between $15 and $25 USD.
When will my order ship?
Unless otherwise noted - orders will dispatch in no more than 10 days unless stated otherwise.
How long does shipping take?
Generally, Canadian shipments are in transit for 3 to 10 business days and US shipments are in transit for 5 to 42 business days.

How do I care for my HBD?
Lovey
Wood can be sealed with food grade beeswax and high-quality food grade oil (olive, avocado, etc). Wash delicate in wash bag or pillow case. Hang dry. Avoid bleach.
Ring Slings
Wash cold. Tumble dry low. Iron high. Avoid bleach.
Stretch Wraps
Wash cold. Hang dry. Iron low. Avoid bleach.
Swaddles
Wash cold. Hang dry. Iron low. Avoid bleach.
