Traveling With Kids: What Gear Do You Need?

Traveling with three young kids is no small feat. It takes some extra planning, patience, and flexibility. To make our adventures as smooth as possible, we've discovered the holy trinity of baby gear that we simply can't live without: the ring sling, the structured carrier, and the travel stroller.

Let’s break down the baby gear we use while traveling

The Ring Sling: Our Quick-Draw Option

The ring sling is our ultimate multi-tasker.

It's perfect for our one and four-year-olds, offering a cozy and secure carry for both. Whether it’s a quick dash for a bathroom break or a short exploration of a new spot, the ring sling is our go-to. It’s incredibly easy to put on and take off, making it ideal for those impromptu adventures. And let’s not forget, our four-year-old absolutely loves being carried on our back, making it a fun and convenient option for both of us.

The Structured Carrier: Our Long-Haul Champion

When we know we’ll be out and about for extended periods, our structured carrier is our trusty companion.

It's perfect for those times when a stroller is impractical, and we need to carry our little one close. New environments can be overwhelming for young minds, so having our baby snuggled up against us provides a sense of comfort and security. It's also a fantastic tool for encouraging those much-needed naps on the go.

The Travel Stroller: Our Little One’s Mobile Oasis

While we love carrying our little ones, there are times when their tiny legs need a rest. That's where our travel stroller comes in.

Equipped with a good shade and a snack tray, it’s transformed into our four-year-old’s mobile oasis. It's also a lifesaver when navigating crowded airports or bustling city streets.

Things to Keep in Mind While Travelling..

Traveling with young children is all about embracing flexibility. Nap schedules go out the window, and spontaneity becomes the name of the game. But with the right gear, we can make the most of every adventure. So, while it might seem like overkill to lug around three pieces of baby gear, we've found that it's the key to keeping our little family happy and on the move.
